The Department of Geography, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised an extension lecture on 25-02-2026 on the topic “Climate Change and its Impact on Punjab Agriculture” to discuss the current scenario of Punjab agriculture. Dr. Pavneet Kaur Kingra, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, was invited as the resource person. She highlighted how the production of Rabi and Kharif crops has been affected due to changing temperature and rainfall patterns across different parts of Punjab. She also informed students about various PAU mobile apps and advisories provided to farmers to combat extreme weather events during cropping seasons.
