KCW is situated in the heart of the bustling city of Ludhiana and is spread over a massive area of 14 acres of land endowed with excellent physical infrastructure which provides an academic ambience conducive to the holistic development of the students.

The institution is endowed with excellent physical infrastructural facilities to support the teaching-learning process. The institution has sufficient spacious classrooms with proper lighting and ventilation, good seating arrangements with mounted white/black boards.

Information Technology and Interactive Teaching Facilities

The pulsating ICT classrooms with OHPs, Wi-Fi connectivity & multimedia learning strengthen the academic march. The Computer Department of the college with 5 technology friendly labs offers M.Sc. (IT), BCA & PGDCA. Besides this, BBA & Commerce Department have their own Computer Labs.

Botanical Garden

The college has a well-maintained botanical garden that harbours different genus of the plant kingdom. It contains a cacti house and a pond for maintaining various species of cacti and hydrophytes respectively. There is a shade net house that shelters various evergreen and seasonal plants. Demonstration units of vermi-composting and mushroom cultivation have been set up. The garden also caters to the day to day needs of laboratory requirements.

Procedures and policies for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities – laboratory, library, sports complex, computers, classrooms etc.

The lush green campus of KCW with well designed infrastructure provides a conducive learning environment to its students for effective learning to take place. The various Committees under the supervision of the IQAC of the college ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all infrastructural facilities to stay in tune with the academic development. There are well laid out procedures and policies for purchase of any new goods and services. The maintenance work is assigned to the trained in house experts or outsourced to suitable agencies as per requirement.  An Engineer and his team are duly appointed by the managing committee. They are responsible for all kinds of civil and electrical maintenance work as well as new construction projects in the college. Minor repair works are referred to the in-campus workshop which has qualified and skilled manpower for civil work, electric work, plumbing, carpentry work and horticulture. A committed team of gardeners are responsible for the maintenance of college lawns and various other grounds used for various sports activities.

 

The Computer Administrator is responsible for all the IT infrastructure of the college and ensures proper functioning of the various IT services and facilities provided in the college.

Up gradation of classrooms, labs, Library, Computer labs, and other facilities is a regular feature of the college keeping in view the requirements and standards of new courses.

The college Auditor ensures validity and legality of the financial records related to all types of purchases and maintenance work. Every department maintains a Stock Register of all types of items and services purchased. The financial records are further audited by a qualified Chartered Accountant who also counter signs all the financial reports and utilisation certificates of various grants received from various government agencies.

There are specific committees like the Auditorium committee, the Furniture committee, Library Committee, the Write Off committee, the Purchase Committee, the Canteen Committee, the Hostel Committee and so on which are responsible for the maintenance and up gradation in their respective areas.

The annual stock checking and periodic checks by faculty and technical staff helps in ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of various facilities. The college Seminar Hall and auditorium are utilised for the multipurpose activities of the college for e.g. conducting seminars, exhibitions, functions, conferences, workshops, mid-term and end semester exams, staff meetings, placement drives, alumni association meet etc. The open air theater serves as a venue for departmental and cultural activities. The campus resources are also used for conducting of various competitive examinations.

The vast play grounds, lawn tennis clay courts and basketball ground of the college provide for a platform to various sports coaching academies to train and polish the sports persons.
