63rd Prize Distribution Function held at KCW

In the endeavour to acknowledge the continuing saga of glorious achievements of its students the 63rd
prize distribution function of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines Ludhiana was organized on April
9, 2026 in the college Auditorium. Ms. Justice Ritu Bahri, Former Chief Justice, Uttarakhand High
Court graced the occasion as chief guest. Member of College Managing Committee Madam Kushal
Dhillon, Manager KCW, Director Dr. Mukti Gill and Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal, accorded a warm
welcome to the Guest on arrival. The programme got off to a magnificent start with the college Shabad
recitation. The Annual Report was presented through multimedia highlighting the different activities
and achievements of the Institute during the academic year. The persistent hard work of the students
reaped rich dividends in the year 2024-25, where in students secured various 93 Top Ten positions in
the university exams grabbing 9 first, 6 second and 12 third positions respectively.
Physical Education Department managed to clinch 36 Gold Medals, 38 Silver Medals, and 43 Bronze
Medals. The college clinched Ist Runners up trophy at the P.U Zonal Youth Festival organised at SCD
Government College, Ludhiana. Students Bagged 37 prizes in all, 15 first, 09 second & 13 third prizes.
At the inter-zonal of Heritage Festival organized at A.S College, Khanna bagged 17 prizes. College
student Rupali Sharma bagged National second prize in mimicry in 39th AIU inter-university National
Youth Festival.
The Principal thanked the managing committee for their untiring efforts to ensure the smooth
functioning of the institution. The principal congratulated the winners and motivated the students to
continue their hard work and wished them good luck to scale greater heights in life.
The chief guest along with the members of the Managing Committee gave away the prizes to the
meritorious students for their par excellence performance in various fields. 83 students were awarded
with college colour. 74 students were accorded with merit certificates for their excellent performance in
academic and co-curricular activities of which 41 students were awarded for Social and cultural
activities, 8 for academic, 5 NCC/NSS and 20 for sports. 26 students were honoured for scoring 100%
marks in university exams. Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur, teacher from Department of Punjabi and student Nidhi,
BSc. I medical were given the best library user awards. Student council members were also awarded for
their contribution to the college activities throughout the year. Department of Computer Science headed
by Dr. Parminder Kaur was awarded for achieving maximum the number of top university positions.
While lauding the achievements of the students the chief guest congratulated the Principal, the Director,
the Management and the staff for holding the ever rising graph of achievements. The grand spectacle
came to a close with the beats of National Anthem.
