The Career Coaching Cell of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, in collaboration with District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Ludhiana, organized a webinar on ’What Next After Graduation’. The objective of the program was to guide the graduate students from B.A III to prepare for the challenges in terms of career designing and job opportunities.
In the elaborative session pertaining to career guidance and interview preparations, the various topics were touched upon by the eminent speaker Dr. Nidhi Singhi, Career Counselor, DBEE under the stewardship of ADC Sh. Sandeep Kumar ji, Ludhiana. In her session Dr. Singhi, deliberated upon the ways and strategies students should practice to achieve success in the various competitive examinations such as RRB, SSC, CGL, CHSL, CDS, OTM, MTS, PCS and Civil Services. She also dwelled upon the online educational sources and their effective use along with higher educational opportunities and professional courses. She urged the students to work on goal setting and time management to be successful in life and shared tips to face interviews on the virtual platform in the changing scenario.
She further guided the students about the various books for competitive exams. She also apprised the participants about the coaching classes started by the Punjab Government and shared the helpline no. and address of DBEE, where all help and guidance is provided to help the students achieve their career goals. In the concluding session the queries of the students were taken up and they were informed to participate in the 7th State level Mega Job Fair to be held from 22nd April to 30th April, 2021.
