Shradha, Himandeep, Gurleen & Diksha bagged silver medal. Shradha and Himandeep kaur selected for Inter University Camp.

Cleanliness Drive by KCW NCC Cadets
A clean India could be the best tribute that we could pay to the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Swatch Bharat Mission on 2nd October 2014 throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement with the aim to achieve the vision of clean India.
Partnering cleanliness campaign of India, NCC cadets of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, joined hands for the cleanliness drive organized on 2nd October 2017 in the college campus. The campaign was organized under the stewardship of College Principal, College Associate NCC Officer and staff of 3 Punjab Girls Bn. NCC Ludhiana. The cadets pledged to keep their surroundings clean and green. They promised that they would fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of clean and hygienic India.
College Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill appreciated the efforts put in by the NCC cadets. She added that these young minds must be trained to take part in such campaigns, so that they themselves take the responsibility of keeping the environment clean. The talent, energy and creativity of cadets must be channelized to bring a positive change in the society. Such events help in acquainting the young cadets with their social responsibilities, which are missing in today’s generation. She motivated the cadets to abide by their pledge and convince their friends and families as well for the same.
KCW Clinches Youth Festival Over All First Runners-up Trophy
Four days long & Youth & Heritage Festival (Zone-B) 26th Sept to 29th Sept, 2017 held at A.S College for Women, Khanna culminated with zealous and enthusiastic team of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana emerging as Over all First Runner-up in a neck to neck competition. The College clinched 15 First, 6 Second, and 16 Third prizes in various categories. The Sincere efforts and hard work of the students and staff, combined with the constant support and motivation of the Principal made it possible. The management and the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill congratulated and applauded the grit and determination of the students and wished them success in all their future endeavours.
K.C.W Girl shines in P. U. Examination
Talwinder kaur, student of Khalsa College for women, civil lines, Ludhiana stood third in the panjab university, semester examination in the subject of M.A, History. She secured 74.06 % Principal (Dr.) Mukti Gill congratulated her on her brilliant success and lauded the efforts of the history department.
DIWALI MELA AT KCW
The Fine Arts Department of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organised a Diwali Mela on the College Campus which was celebrated with great zeal and fervour. The Principal Dr.Mukti Gill inaugurated this event. The students of the college had put up various stalls having fun games, fancy diyas,and candles. The event was lined up with scrumptious food junctions, amazing and trendy fashion stalls set up by students. NSS unit of the college took an initiative to promote two self-help groups, Sada Shiv Modern Self Help Group and Bebe Nanki Self Help Group. NSS Volunteers helped these young women entreprenuers to sell their products among students and teachers finally enabling them to sustain themselves.
The Mela was a shopper’s paradise and met the expectations of spectators and students alike.
TOP HONORS FOR KCW STUDENTS IN MSC(IT) 2nd SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS
The students of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana have achieved outstanding results in M.Sc (Information Technology) 2nd semester examinations, results of which were declared by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Ruchi Jain has bagged 2nd position in the University by scoring 88.8 per cent marks while Madhvi stood 3rd in University by scoring 87.2 per cent marks. Tanu bagged 5th position in University by scoring 86.5 per cent marks. All the students who appeared for the exam attained First Division.
Toppers of the college, Ruchi Jain and Madhvi attributed their success to their hard work and punctuality. They also thanked the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science, their parents and the college Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill for their support and blessings.
Er. Pritpal Singh Grewal, President, and S. Gurdish Singh Grewal, Secretary, Managing committee congratulated the College Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill and the staff of Computer Science Department for their sincere efforts in generating excellent results. INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATED AT K.C.W.
Youth Club of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana observed International Peace day. On the spot Poster Making Competition was organized to mark the significance of the day and to judge the talent of the students. Keeping in mind the theme of the day that is to inspire the next generation to become peace makers of the future, inspiring positive action to take place in their homes, schools and communities; the students impersonated their ideas and thoughts on the paper.
Dr. (Mrs) Mukti Gill, principal of the college appreciated the efforts taken by the students and the members of the youth club. She stated that peace day provides a unique platform for people from all sectors of the society to unite.
KCW Students Achieved Positions in M.A. Fine Arts, Semester-II
The students of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana have achieved outstanding result in M.A. Fine Arts Semester-II which were declared by Panjab University on 20th September, 2017. Five students of college have placed their name in top 10 positions. Aishwarya Sehdev bagged Ist position by scoring 355/400 (88.7%) marks, Gagandeep and Jasjot Kaur bagged IInd position by scoring 351/400 (87.7%) marks, Shifali Kapoor bagged VIIIth postion by scoring 332/400 (83%) marks, Sukhsagar Deep Kaur bagged Xth position by scoring 328/400 (82%) marks.
The students who had appeared in the examination have scored more than 73% marks. The prestigious managing committee congratulates Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill and the staff of Fine Arts Department for their sincere efforts in generating excellent results. They applauded the students for maintain the tradition of the college in clinching university positions and also wished them to continue greater scale in life.
NAAC TEAM VISIT AT KCW
The NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Peer team visited Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana on 18th and 19th Sept, 2017 to assess and accredit the institution. The peer team comprising Prof. Kumkum Mishra, Chairman, Prof. Kshama Agarwal, member and Dr. George Padikara, member co-ordinator reviewed the functioning of college from various aspects – the teaching learning process, curricular aspects, research, consultancy and extension infrastructure, etc. They interacted with the students, parents and alumnae for feedback. They visited various departments, college library, examined the laboratories, support services available and functioning of administrative staff. The efficacy of NSS, NCC and Youth Red Cross unit was graded. Numerous clubs were also adjudged. The effectiveness of diverse add on courses and vocational courses was also evaluated. The exit meeting marked the culmination of the visit wherein the report was handed over to the Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill. The Principal and staff expressed their gratitude to NAAC peer team for assessing and accrediting the institution.
K.C.W, M.A History girls shine in P.U Examination
Khalsa College for Women, Civil lines, Ludhiana secured 3 positions in the M.A History 2nd Sem., result declared by the Punjab University. Amritpal Kaur secured 1st position with 78.75%, Khusboo stood 5th position with 75.75% and Sunita Gupta secured Xth position with 74.5%.Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill congratulated the students for their success and lauded the efforts of the History department for their hard work.
