Celebrates International Youth Day

The Youth Club of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, celebrated International Youth Day with great enthusiasm by organizing an Intra-College Calligraphy Competition on the theme “Local Youth Actions for SDGs and Beyond.” The event aimed to inspire students to reflect upon their role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to express their ideas creatively through the art of calligraphy.

Participants showcased their talent using brush, pen, pencils, crayons, and watercolors, skillfully integrating messages related to various SDGs. The competition not only encouraged artistic expression but also strengthened the students’ understanding of global sustainability challenges and the importance of local action. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The winners of the competition were: Prabhdeep Kaur, Ridhima Madaan and Janvi for first, second and third prize respectively.

Dr. Mukti Gill, Director, and Dr. Kamaljit Grewal, Principal, applauded the participants for their creativity and awareness towards social responsibility. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, reinforcing the message that youth are the torchbearers of change in building a sustainable future.
