The Department of Psychology, Khalsa College, Civil Lines Ludhiana organised an Inter- School Poster Making Competition – a community outreach initiative for mental health. About 50 participants from more than 10 eminent schools of the city participated. The judges for the event were Ms. Shinu Kochhar, Counselling Psychologist, ABA Practitioner and Expressive Art Therapist from Care for Autism, along with Ms. Ashu Lakhanpal, Head PG Department of Fine Arts. This event aimed to raise awareness of mental health issues and empower students to navigate daily life challenges and stress. The prize winners for various categories were as follows:

Along with this, an interactive session titled “Distractions vs Consistency #The choice that shapes your future” was organised by KCW Counselling Cell where Ms. Shinu Kochhar coached the students for dealing with distractions in order to focus prioritising goals and achieving them for an effective and a successful lifestyle. The students received tips on setting SMART goals and inculcating consistency in their endeavours. She discussed the 21- day strategy to convert actions into habits.
The enthusiastic participation of the students made the session invigorating. The Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal congratulated the prize winners. She also appreciated the efforts of various school teachers for their inspiring contribution.
