Internal Complaints Committee holds a Seminar on Prevention ofSexual Harassment at Workplace, at KCW

The Internal Complaints Committee of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organizes a seminar on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace on November 3, 2025 in the college.
Ms. Neha Gupta and Advocate Anchal Jindal were the resource persons for the event. Advocate Anchal Gupta apprised the teaching and non teaching staff on the POSH Act (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, that was brought into force in 2013. She further discussed types of sexual harassment and laws on prevention of sexual harassment. She also shared tips on how to be safe and protective and fight against any type of verbal, non-verbal, and abusive or colored remarks. Short videos on various instances of sexual harassment were shown once again establishing the importance of voicing the actions and words that make women and men uncomfortable. The session concluded with an interactive session and activities bringing important issues to light.
The College Principal Dr. Kamaljit Grewal applauded the efforts of the Incharge Dr. Narinderjit Kaur of Internal complaints committee. She further encouraged the staff to voice their concerns whenever necessary and also spread awareness.
