KCW HOLDS SAVE ELECTRICITY DRIVE

Physics Society of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana conducted a ‘Save Electricity Drive’ on 6th September, 2017. A musical skit depicting that in day to day life we intentionally or unintentionally waste electricity. So there is an utmost need to save electricity by thinking globally and acting locally. For example shutdown the computer instead of keeping them at sleep mode, during the day switch off the light, on  breezy day don’t use air conditioner, in spite of switching off electrical appliances from remote switch it off from the main socket , remove the charger when mobile phone is fully charged, use LED instead of CFL,  etc. The real power lies in saving the power for upcoming generations. A switch switched off today will generate new switches for tomorrow. Students posted stickers saying “switch it off when not in use” all over the college premises to urge everyone to carry on this notion. Dr. Mrs. Mukti Gill congratulated for the save electricity drive and motivate all to switch off appliances when we are not using them.
