MATHEMATICS SOCIETY HELD IN KCW

To sharpen students creativity and presentation skills , PG Department of Mathematics of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organised an event titled “Power-Point Presentations on the Application of Mathematics”aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of how mathematics is used in real-life and interdisciplinary contexts. The program focused on showcasing the creativity and analytical abilities of students through interactive and visually enriched presentations.
The topics of presentations varied as Mathematics in space, Mathematics the hidden code of the world, Applications of Algebra, Applications of Trigonometry, Statistics in action, Use of Mathematics in everyday life, Mathematics in astronomy ,Graph theory, fractal etc .
Judges of the event were Dr. Charita Mehta, Head of Department of Physics and Dr Aanchal Arora , Head of Department of Chemistry.The event encouraged students to blend analytical thinking with digital creativity, demonstrating that mathematics is not just theoretical but a dynamic tool for innovation and problem-solving in modern society and successfully achieved its objective of integrating technology with education and fostering students’ curiosity about mathematical applications.

Second prize -Diksha Yadav of BCA -III
Third prize – Prabhdeep Kaur of B.Sc -I
Consolation prize – Kawalpreet Kaur of B.A III
