The Department of Sociology of Khalsa college for women, civil lines, Ldh, in collaboration with Rotaract club organised an awareness programme under the title ‘NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN’ a project powered by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment ,Govt. of India.
A Power Point Presentation highlighting the menace of Drugs and its repercussions was shared among all platforms with students. The students were sensitised about the harmful effects of drugs on human health and well being. They were further advised on how to be a chain breaker and help friends who are in need.
The Principal Dr. Mukti Gill applauded the efforts of the staff of Sociology Department. She further encouraged the students to lead a healthy and focussed life and work hard to achieve success in life.
