The Postgraduate Department of Commerce, Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana, organized an industrial visit to Paos Industries Ltd. , a leading company in the northern region of India dealing in soap, detergent, and fatty acids. The visit, held on Feb 01, 2025, included 110 students and eight faculty members. The objective was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the FMCG sector.
Paos Industries ltd., established in 1957 under the name and style M/s. National Soap Mills , has a strong presence under the brand ‘RAJ’, offering eco & user friendly products like detergent powders, dishwashing liquids and cloth washing liquid detergents in various economy and premium categories. The company serves multiple states, including Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, along with international markets like the West Africa.
During the visit, students toured key departments, including the Production Department, where they observed the manufacturing processes of various soap and detergent products, and the Research and Development (R&D) Cell, which focuses on product innovation and quality enhancement. An engaging session in the conference hall introduced students to the company’s growth journey and business strategies.
