Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines organised one day village camp at Takshahila Vidya Mandir School, Churpur Road, Jassian, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana on the topic “Punjabi jaago nashe tiago” on 5th February, 2025. This rally aimed to deliver a positive health message, contrasting with other contemporary campaigns that employed fear-based tactics. Students and teachers actively participated in the event. Holding banners and placards with anti-drug messages, the participants marched through the main streets, chanting slogans against drug abuse.
The rally concluded with a pledge from all participants to work towards a drug-free society, reinforcing the message that ” Punjabio Jaago Nashe Tiago”. This event highlighted the ongoing challenges communities face due to drug addiction and the collective efforts to address them. It also point to raise awareness about the devastating effects of drug addiction and encourage a collective fight against this growing menace.
The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Kamaljit Grewal, applauded the efforts of the Red Ribbon Club team and Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma (secretary, managing committee) of the School for organizing such a meaningful and impactful event on drug abuse awareness.
