Social Service Activity by NSS unit, KCW

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organized a social service activity at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Ludhiana, under the guidance of  NSS in-charges Dr. Sukhjeet Kaur and Dr. Sonia Mala. Dr. Seema, a medical officer and gynecologist, was also present during the activity and guided the volunteers and residents regarding women’s health and hygiene. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the activity and distributed hygiene-related packets containing essential items among the residents of the slum area with the aim of promoting cleanliness, personal hygiene, and healthy living practices.

During the drive, volunteers interacted with the residents and created awareness about the importance of maintaining hygiene to prevent the spread of diseases. The activity was conducted in an orderly and enthusiastic manner, reflecting the values of discipline, service, and social responsibility encouraged by NSS. The residents appreciated the efforts of the volunteers, and the initiative proved to be a meaningful step towards community welfare and public health awareness.
