World Peace Day marked at KCW

The department of Sociology in collaboration with the Rotaract club celebrated World Peace Day at Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana on September 21, 2022. The objective of the initiative was to sensitize the students about the importance of co-existence irrespective of caste, color, and creed to bring harmony to society. The theme of the year was “End racism, Build peace!”

Students expressed their perspectives on building a peaceful society through an innovative creative activity. The students artistically decorated by painting graffiti on the walls of the open-air theatre of the college.  The vibrant hues spoke volumes about the importance of anti-racist humaneness while art on the walls celebrated people of all colors lending life its meaning and purpose.

Meanwhile,  a nukkad Natak was also staged on the same day to instill respect for multiculturalism and multi diversity.

The Principal applauded the efforts of the entire staff of the department of sociology and the Rotaract club members.
