Young Girl Cadets Got training of firing in NCC camp at Khalsa College for Women

Under the aegis of Col Aman Yadav, 3 Punjab Girls Bn NCC Ludhiana, youngNCC cadets from various schools and colleges of Ludhiana were given a chance to fire with weapon.22 Deluxe Rifle during combined annual training camp at Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana  . While firing,these girls practically experienced live firing, got training regarding the essentials of firing, including good holding, good aiming and good trigger operation. The girl cadets were given.22 rifles and a dry practice session was conducted one day prior at Khalsa College for Women. The cadets were divided into four companies for the exercise. ANO Captain Paramjeet Kaur from KCW, Third Officer Chander Sharma from KVM, and CTO Gurpreet Kaur from SDP along with a team of trainers were present at the firing range. The staff enthusiastically apprised the cadets about all the essential aspects of firing. Colonel Yadav said in his statement said that maximum number of girls are required to join the NCC, an organization which inculcates the qualities of comradeship, integrity, team spirit, discipline and philanthropy among the cadets. Providing training to girls will boost their confidence and would empower them to fight against any kind of violence and abuse. They will be proactive to face the problems of their daily lives with courage and be able to help others as responsible citizens.
