YOUTH CLUB, KCW SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED A FIVE DAY WORKSHOP ON “LIFE SKILLS”

A five day workshop on “Life Skills” (12-16th August)organized by Youth club of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines Ludhiana in collaboration with United Network of Young Peace builders and Youth for Peace International concluded with the valedictory function on 16th August. A total no. of 100 students who have attended the workshop were trained by indulging them in various games, activities, discussions and debates that ultimately enabled the students to formulate new ways of thinking. This workshop was designed in a way to instill maximum sensitivity, invoke new ideas, arouse deep seated emotions and reinforce ethical values to be induced deeper into one’s character and further outshine in one’s personality. Hence the main modus operandi for this workshop was based upon various experiential learnings instilled through various simulation exercises, brainstorming sessions, play for peace activities, fun games and various thought provoking and stimulating concepts.

Three students Rajbir, Parveen and Nancy shared their experiences and shown their satisfaction in respect of content, delivery and presentation of all topics covered during the workshop. The effective facilitators, Mr. Mridul (Asia Coordinator of UNOY), Miss Mannat Dhillon (Program Manager and facilitator), Miss Saumya Aggarwal (Co-founder YPI) and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (Peace Ambassador of UNOY) carry out their job in a commendable way.

Mrs. Mukti Gill, Principal, appreciated the efforts of Dr. Monita, Incharge Youth Club and club members and emphasized that there is a huge need of such workshops in future. The certificates to all the participants were presented which was followed by token of appreciation to all the facilitators.
